A Life Transformation Equation

While changing our thought processes can help us transform our lives, there are other factors to consider. On occasion, changing our body position and environment can be key to the right transformation. Let me give you an example. 

For a while, I have been suffering from acute pain in my right shoulder. While working with a therapist on various exercises, we also talked about my life environment. We discovered some major environmental factors that contributed to my endless pain. The height of my computer desk, my arm position in relation to my typing, and my incorrect seat height were the culprits. I also discovered that I had to readjust my arm trajectory when reaching for something away from me. I had no idea that such body and environmental changes could give me the relief I desired for so long! 

Indeed, I had to change my mind processes to create change in my behaviors. But, I also had to pay attention to my body and environment. Such conscious experiences also reminded me of the importance of presence. So, when one wants to transform life for the better, one should not underestimate the power of the body, mind, and environment. And not to forget that thinking outside our brain is the doorway to endless horizons...
